Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in collaboration with The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will be organizing a seminar on Disaster Risk Management: Control Measures and Mitigation Planning with theme entitled “Investing in Disaster Risk Reduction for Resilience” .

Objectives:-
* To highlight global platform for preventing and reducing disaster risk, and to promote the public-private investment in DRR for building a resilient nation;
* To understand the need of disaster economics, critical infrastructure and social capital, which is in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030;
* To exchange views, experiences and case studies for structural, non-structural measures and disaster prevention for sustainable development
