Biography
He is the head of Department of Islamic Studies at the King Abdul Aziz University. He did his Bachelor’s degree in Principles of Jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), Umm al-Qura University, graduated Summa Cumlaude. Master’s degree Principles of Jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh) at the same institution with his thesis entitled Concept of Violation (Mafhum al-Mukhalafah): Practical Study of Criminal Theory while his Doctorate was on Induction of Unspecified Public Interests (al-Istidlal bi al-Masholih al-Mursalah) of Contemporary Economic Issues. Research interests are on Fiqh of contemporary Issues (Fiqh an-Nawazil), Contemporary Economic Issues, Islamic Political Issues, Rules Application (Tatbiiqaat al-Qawaid) toward Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh).
