As vice president of manufacturing for Asia-Pacific, Raj Purushothaman leads NI manufacturing organizations in Penang, Malaysia, and Shanghai, China.
Since joining NI as an intern in 1994, Purushothaman has held several leadership positions globally and regionally in supply chain, new product introduction, manufacturing engineering, operations, logistics, and product services. He was the lead for the NI site selection team that picked Penang as the Asia-Pacific hub for NI. He also serves as the managing director of NI Penang.
In addition, Purushothaman serves on the Board of Penang Science Cluster, an organization dedicated to the promotion of science, technology, engineering, and math education in Penang, Malaysia.
Purushothaman holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Calicut and a master’s degree in operations research and industrial engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
