NALI is an annual knowledge sharing event organised by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), through UTM Academic Leadership (UTMLead), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), and Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying (FABU)
NALI also stands for New Academia Learning Innovation, a framework to promote innovative teaching and learning practices in education. It comprises student-centred and blended learning philosophy, multiple learning modes and materials towards achieving entrepreneurial academia.
The first edition of NALI was organised in 2018. Over the past two years, the organisers have put together a series of activities under NALI:
Keynote and plenary sessions from renowned experts in teaching and learning
K-sharing workshops
Symposium
Exhibition and competition
STEMate (specific collaboration with school teachers across Malaysia)
For 2020, UTM is bringing NALI completely online on 7-10 December 2020.
NALI 2020 wishes to encourage, promote and honour teachers, educators, and researchers in the field of education who are creative, innovative and bold in utilising different tools and methods in teaching and learning.
The theme of NALI 2020 is “Future Ready Educators”, with a special focus on developing educators who could deliver education to everyone, anytime and anywhere, even during global pandemics and natural disasters.
